Bobbie, L. Whisnant, age 81, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the Bothwell Regional Hospital in Sedalia, Missouri. He was born on May 15, 1944, in Isabella, Missouri, the son of Hershel and Pauline Nave Whisnant.

He was raised in Gainesville and in 1961, the family moved to Ozark. Bob graduated from Spokane High School in 1962. He worked for several feed mills in Springfield including MFA, Tindle and Cresent Mills. Bob got his auctioneers license and worked for Tom Easterly for 15 years. In 1995 he was saved in the Baptist Faith. On January 9, 2004, He was united in Marriage to Shirley Downing. They made their home on a farm near Warsaw.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Joe, Gene, and Billy Dean Whisnant, and one sister, Patsy Ann Hankley.

He is survived by his wife Shirley of the home, stepchildren, Jackie Downing and Todd Downing, grandsons, Trevor and Trent Downing, all of Warsaw, a brother, Jim Whisnant, of Cole Camp, Missouri, a sister, Barbara Andrews and her husband Tim, of Willard, Missouri, a sister-in-law, Donna Whisnant of Springfield, Missouri, several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A Grave Side Service will be held for Bob on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at the Cable Ridge Cemetery near Edwards, Missouri.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Warsaw Funeral and Cremation in Warsaw.
