On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, David Alan Miller went to his eternal home with Jesus.

David was born Sept. 7, 1947, to Houston and Lorene Miller in Tupelo, Miss. He attended school in Tupelo and graduated from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala., with a degree in veterinary medicine in 1972. He was in private practice for 10 years. He then went to work at the National Veterinary Service Laboratory in Ames, Iowa. While there he earned his Master’s Degree in Preventative Medicine from Iowa State University.

He married Sharon Schmeckpeper of Norfolk, Neb., in 1983. They retired to Warsaw, Mo., in 2007. There they attended Warsaw Bible Church where David’s love for the Lord grew. God blessed him with the ability to share His word. David was active in Moses Club, a group of “old men” who helped each other reach “The Promised Land.”

David is survived by his wife, Sharon, sons Steve (Sheila) of Selmer, Tenn., Scott, of Stantonville, Tenn.; daughter Amy (Kyle) Martin of Grinnell, Iowa, four granddaughters, three great-granddaughters and one great-grandson.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Warsaw Funeral and Cremation.
