Janice Kay Brawner (Jan) of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026. Leaving behind a lifetime of love, cherished memories, and a family that will miss her dearly.

Jan was born on March 27, 1952, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Donald Brawner and Martha Chase. She went on to graduate high school from Raytown High. After high school she attended beautician school. Jan went on to become a chef. She was known for making her famous parfaits and preserves.

Jan was a loving mother and a devoted grandmother. Her family was the greatest joy in her life, and she treasured every moment spent with those she loved.

Jan leaves behind her daughter Amber (Baron) Pennington and Adam Pennington, granddaughter Brittany (Josh) Beck, Baron Jr. (Krystle) Pennington and Cole Pennington, great-grandchildren: Baron III, Rozlynn, Evelynn and Royce. She also leaves behind a sister Cathy Reardon and a brother, Don Brawner, along with many friends.

Though her passing leaves a deep emptiness in their hearts, her family finds comfort in knowing that her love and memories will remain with them forever. She was deeply loved and will never be forgotten
