Leslie R. Waggoner, age 77, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away, Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles, Missouri. He was born in Willow Springs, Missouri, on May 15, 1948, one of ten children born to John and Effie Moore Waggoner.
They lived in Willow Springs for a while and at some point, they moved to Warsaw and he graduated from Warsaw High School in 1966. He was in the Army and served in the Vietnam War. He attended State Fair Community College getting an associate degree in finance. He was married to Sandi McMillin and unto this union one son, Jason, was born. He lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado for a time before moving to Sterling, Colorado among other places, finally moving back to Warsaw. He was involved in the banking industry working for several different banks. He built and owned and operated the Shawnee Bend R.V. Park for several years before selling the park and retiring. He was married to Cheyenne, who preceded him in death. He liked to fish and loved being outdoors.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son Jason, his parents, four sisters and four brothers.
Les is survived by twin grandsons, Jaxon and Jenson Waggoner, one brother, Harold Dean Waggoner, several nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Warsaw Funeral and Cremation beginning at 10:00 A.M. with Graveside Services and interment to follow at 11:00 A.M. at Shawnee Cemetery, near Warsaw.
