Steven R. Merriott, age 62, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, in Warsaw. He was born in Columbia, Missouri on March 4, 1964, the son of Roy C. Merriott, Jr. and Wanda Pipes Merriott.

Steven was raised in the Hallsville/Columbia area and graduated from Hallsville High School. After high school, he worked construction and for some elevators. He moved to Warsaw in 2012. He was very athletic and played a lot of slow pitch softball. His real passion, though, was hunting and fishing and the Kansas City Chiefs, even before they were good. His wardrobe reflected his passions by being mostly Chiefs stuff or Camo. Steven was an outstanding dad and was the best Papa ever to his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy.

Steven is survived by his mother, Wanda, three daughters, Heather Merriott, Cortney Merriott and Kelli Merriott, seven grandchildren, Evan, Rori, Bailey, Kaydn, Tinli, Zander and Zavien. He is also survived by a special friend Michelle Mather, a brother, Roy Merriott, a sister, Tracy Merriott Jenkins, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday evening March 19, 2026, from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with a memorial service beginning at 7:00 P.M. at Warsaw Funeral and Cremation, 420 Commercial in Warsaw.
